Kayhan International, 5 August 2013 / No. 9258:
TEHRAN (Dispatches) – President Hassan Rohani on Sunday called on regional countries to strengthen cooperation in order to settle ongoing regional and international problems.
In a meeting with Abdelkader Bensalah, Chairman of Council of Nation, Rohani said Tehran and Algiers can have “very good” bilateral and regional cooperation.
“The Islamic Republic of Iran is completely ready to expand and deepen mutual relations with Algeria in economic, cultural and political fields and believes that the settlement of regional issues requires the participation of regional countries”, Rohani stated.
He emphasized that foreign interference and inability of Muslim countries to use all their capabilities are the main factors behind the problems Muslims are faced with.
The Chairman of Council of Nation of Algeria, for his part, said the two countries enjoy deep-rooted economic, cultural and political ties, adding that his country is keen on improving bilateral cooperation and countering ongoing challenges in the region and the world.
